Customer information

Privacy, explained in plain language.

When you call or send a service request, we use the details to understand the drainage issue, follow up and plan service. We do not sell service-request information or use it for third-party advertising.

At a glance

Three practical commitments.

The short version before the detail: collect only useful request context, use it for service operations, and provide a direct way to ask about it.

01

Only what helps the request

Name and phone are required in the form. Site, timing and problem details are optional but can make follow-up easier.

02

Operational use—not ad resale

Information is used to triage, quote, schedule, carry out and document requested drainage service.

03

A direct privacy path

Call the published number to ask what is held, request a correction or discuss deletion where applicable.

How information moves through this service.

This notice applies to the Lower Mainland Catch Basin Service website, its service-request form and calls to the phone number shown on the site.

01 / Service requests

What the form collects and why.

The form requires your name and phone number so someone can follow up. If you choose to provide them, it can also collect your email, organization or site name, city, property type, approximate basin or drain count, address or cross street, requested service, preferred timing and problem notes. The form also records the page and request context it came from.

These details are used to understand the request, discuss access and urgency, prepare a scope or quote, schedule work and maintain related service records. The form does not include a file-upload field.

Please leave sensitive extras out.Do not place payment-card details, passwords, gate codes, private documents, health information or unrelated personal information in the problem-notes field.

The website host and form processor receives and stores the submission and sends a notification copy to a restricted business inbox. If work proceeds, useful request details may also become part of quote, scheduling, service, accounting or follow-up records.

02 / Phone calls

Calls may be recorded and transcribed.

When you call, the business phone system receives call details such as the calling number, date, time, duration and routing information. Calls may be recorded and transcribed for dispatch follow-up, service quality, training and record-keeping. The phone system is configured with a recording announcement.

The phone provider is currently configured to retain automatic call recordings for 90 days. Transcripts, call notes and service records may be kept longer when reasonably needed for the purposes above, an active customer relationship, operational records or legal requirements.

For a non-urgent matter, you can use the service-request form instead of calling. For active flooding or water moving toward a building, phone remains the call-first path.

03 / Website use

Limited technical and referral context.

The website and its hosting provider process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as request, security and anti-spam data. The site also uses limited browser session storage for referral or campaign context and to avoid duplicate event handling during the same browser session.

As of this notice’s effective date, the site does not load advertising pixels or a third-party analytics platform. If that changes, this notice should be updated before the new tracking is relied on.

04 / Sharing and location

Who may handle the information.

We do not sell personal information. Information may be handled by authorized people responsible for reviewing or carrying out a request and by service providers that support website hosting, forms, email, business phone, transcription, scheduling, service records or security. It may also be disclosed when reasonably required for safety, fraud prevention or a legal obligation.

Some service providers may process or store information outside British Columbia or Canada. Information handled in another jurisdiction may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

05 / Retention and security

Kept for an operational reason—not by default forever.

Form submissions, notification emails, transcripts and related records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for follow-up, service delivery, customer records, accounting, safety, dispute handling, legal requirements or system security. Different systems may have different retention periods.

Access is limited to authorized accounts and people with an operational need. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no phone, email or internet system can be guaranteed completely secure.

06 / Your choices

Ask, correct or request deletion.

You may ask what personal information is held about you, request correction of inaccurate details, or ask for deletion where operational and legal requirements allow. Call (778) 312-3314 and say that your question is about personal information. Identity may need to be verified before information is accessed, corrected or deleted.

This notice may be revised when the service workflow or providers change. The effective date at the top of this section will show the latest published revision.
